St Mary Axe
Initial concept sketches for the Section 278 public realm works were developed in collaboration with landowners and architects, progressing through the preliminary design stage to detailed design and implementation while ensuring compliance with the City of London at each phase. This approach aimed to create an aesthetic and functional urban public realm that complements an exciting and iconic new office development in the City’s eastern cluster.
Our efforts included providing preliminary design and cost estimates for approval, extensive stakeholder liaison involving utility diversions, bespoke planters, fountains, archaeology, lighting, landscaping, TfL network management, and TfL traffic signals. Additionally, we produced detailed design and construction package drawings, managed the construction project, supervised on-site activities, and resolved the final account to ensure the project’s success.
