Cannon Street Station
As part of the development of 78 Cannon Street and in preparation for the 2012 Olympics, there was a need to improve the streetscape and enhance pedestrian safety around Cannon Street station, one of London’s busiest interchanges.
To meet this objective, we collaborated with stakeholders and manufacturers, including the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), to undertake preliminary and detailed designs for the streetscape along Cannon Street and Dowgate Hill. We also oversaw site supervision to ensure the project adhered to the tight timelines and accommodated the complexities of the location. Our responsibilities included preliminary design and cost estimation for approvals, extensive stakeholder engagement (addressing utility diversions, hostile vehicle mitigation, security consultants, manufacturers, Network Rail, TfL network management, and TfL traffic signals), detailed design and construction package preparation, construction project management, construction supervision, and resolution of the final account.
