Cousin Lane
Working with TP Bennett and Blackstone, we developed preliminary designs for the proposed Section 278 public realm improvement scheme, progressing through to the detailed design stage to ensure full compliance with the City of London Corporation’s requirements.
Our approach facilitated a seamless transition from concept to practical implementation, emphasizing adherence to design guidelines, prioritizing the needs of all potential road users, and using the City of London’s high-quality standard materials for highways. This led to the transformation of an uninviting street into an aesthetically pleasing, multifunctional public space fronting a new development, a busy gym, and a Public House, with scenic views toward the River Thames. Our services included preliminary design and cost estimations for approvals, stakeholder liaison for utility diversions, archaeology, decorative lighting, landscaping, and TfL network management, as well as detailed design and construction package preparation, construction project management, construction supervision, and final account resolution.
